Over the last months we have been working hard (considering my free time) on GFP 0.8.0 release changes that will came with many news, some are improvements with parameter request for budget reports, new docking toolkit – with the goal to offer more stability for GFP we are migrating to a new docking window toolkit generating much less errors on GFO log file on runtime. One example of GFP docking window is the message panel on the screen bottom.

We are translating all the source code to English os more people can contribute easily for GFP development. Until now GFP source code have been in Brazilian Portuguese, as you can see by my misspelling errors I'm not a native English speaker :-). This “translation” to English will be as gradual as possible to avoid compatibility issues with previous BD layouts and plugins. We are working to make these changes as safely as possible.

We are adding some import utilities too, that will allow import transactions from OFC and CSV files, it will be possible for others developers provide scripted options to import some bank files or even import transactions from clip board area. The 0.8.0 release will come with one scripted (java compiled code – yes you can see the source) that will be a example for others that may want to add its own features. Most of these changes are already on CVS and I am using them :-)

Soon we will release the GFP 0.8.0!
