There are 6 months that we don't release a new GFP version, that's because the projects have only one active developer at the moment (me), for the past years many people have contributed to GFP, none of them permanently, on the last 12 months many things have happened to me (second son has born, and suffered a surgery to remove a cancer), so I was unable to keep active development on GFP.

Now I hope to take this duty again! Since I am a GFP user too, for the past 6 years.
On this April month there was publicized a article at one of the most important Brazilian IT magazine about the best finance software (BR Portuguese translated softwares) and GFP was one the five, listed as Free choice. Fo course that some of the GFP characteristics has influenced its choice like the fact that it's open source and platform independent which make it a unique alternative for people that desire to organize their finances and for students that want to learn more about software development.

I am always opened to new contributions and partners to help on GFP development, working for innovations that may make the users life easier.
